The region's premier business event for Latin America and Asia returns for the seventh year in Singapore. Latin Asia Business Forum 2010 will feature a full-day conference and new highlights such as the Asia Economy Update. Americas Society and Council of the Americas are pleased to announce that COA Vice President Eric Farnsworth will moderate two panels at event, including the keynote panel, "Perpectives on the Latin Asia Partnership," as well as "Latin America: Charting the Next Phase of Growth." With a distinguished panel of ministers and business insights from successful Latin American and Asian entrepreneurs, the Forum will be complemented with a series of roundtable discussions, seminars and pre-matched business meetings to explore potential areas of collaboration across varied industry sectors.

Asia was Latin America's second most important trading partner in 2008. Trade from Latin America to Asia rose 25 percent from 2007 to $100.6 billion. As both regions recover from the global economic downturn, the Latin Asia Business Forum 2010 brings together top leaders in business and government across both continents to share insights on how companies can expand into Asia and Latin America.
